Backyard Field Guide: Strawberry Season

After a week of wedding mishaps (add to the list: yesterday we found out the restaurant where we had planned to have the wedding lunch misplaced our reservation and told us they couldn't 'accomodate' our party...!), today has been much more relaxing. The new camera arrived and with it the ripening of the first strawberries in our garden. Thank goodness for small wonders...and a (significantly) better lens. All of us have settled in to recover our peace of mind, including the smallest member of the household....

(My great aunt embroidered the kittens on the pillowcase. How he gets away with laying his head there is beyond me!)
