Apple of My Eye

What a week, what a week! I've had some serious grading to do--a stack of poetry presentation drafts and personal narratives about reading life and family essay ideas and poems in the Persian 'ghazal' form...the list goes on. Needless to say, I've been feeling very teacherly. My wonderful friend Kelly even left an apple on my office desk the other day. She and her husband had gone to the orchard over the weekend. Let me tell you--it was delicious and just the sweet thing to keep my heart singing on the page.
